▮ COST CALCULATOR

Real Futures Cost
Beyond Just Fees

Trading fees are only part of the story. Funding rate, holding duration and trading frequency reshape the true cost of perpetual contracts.

▮ This is an Educational Estimator Numbers are illustrative: Taker fees are a hand-compiled snapshot of each exchange's published Tier-0 rate, and the funding rates are example parameters for demonstration, not measured 90-day medians. The calculation is: total cost (USDT) = position × Taker fee × 2 (open + close) × number of trades ± position × funding rate × settlements per day (3, one every 8 hours) × holding days; a positive rate means longs pay and shorts receive, a negative rate the reverse. Real funding rates fluctuate by token, market and time; check the exchange's own page or Coinglass for actual values. Treat the result as a baseline, not a guarantee.

▮ Why BitMart is no longer in this table BitMart used to sit in the row list here; it has now been taken out because the venue is winding down. New sign-ups, deposits and new position opening stopped at 01:30 UTC on 2026-07-26 (perpetuals went reduce-only), all trading services were switched off at 01:00 UTC on 2026-08-26, and the platform is due to close permanently on 2027-01-31. A fee row nobody can act on is worse than no row, so we removed it rather than freeze it. Anyone still holding balances there should follow BitMart's own withdrawal notices.
▮ This tool is informational only and does not constitute investment advice, trading signals or account-opening recommendations. Futures trading carries the risk of amplified losses. The funding rates in the table are only examples, and even real historical funding does not predict future values — it can shift quickly under extreme market conditions. Refer to each exchange's real-time data, official rules and your local laws.
